One of my recents passions has been to focus more on documentary or lifestyle photography. I want to document peoples lives as they are living them. Posed photos are great, and they have their place. But I want to capture those in between moments for you. I want you to look back on the images from our session and remember what you children were like during that time of your life. Like little Anniston here. She has such a great, funny personality. This image captures her "I-don't-care" attitude.
I want my images to tell a story. I want them to tell your story.
Here is Lacy's story.
Lacy has 3 beautiful children. She is such a wonderful mother. I have been blessed to see first hand how great she is with her kids. Her love for them is undeniable.
She first approached me with this idea a little over a month ago, and I practically begged her to let me take this image for her. She has had 3 cesarean sections, and she wanted an image that showed her scar so she could display a part of her motherhood journey in her home. She is so brave and strong to do this. And she was generous enough to let me share this with you as well.
Here are more images of this lovely little foursome. They are the sweetest!
Lacy's braveness has inspired me to start a campaign in our area. I'm going to call it "Supermother Bodies". I want to bring light to what so many woman/mothers are ashamed to show. We have beautiful bodies that have created life. How amazing is that? We not be supermodels and have that "perfect" body, but we have supermother bodies. Let them shine, mamas.
If you are interested in being a part of this campaign, contact me via Facebook, and we can set up a supermother body session.
