*Before you read on, first off I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by my blog today. It means a lot that you're taking time to see my work. If you like what you see, could you take a quick minute and leave a comment on this blog post? It only takes a short bit, and it really helps boost my web awareness. Thanks so much!*
It has been a little while since I posted a blog. I feel like I go through phases where I'm on top of it, and I get a least one blog post in every week. And then I go through phases where I'm lucky if I get one done every month. I'm just glad I had some time this afternoon (while the girls are napping) to sit down and type this up.
Things have been going pretty good for the Lewis family lately. My girls are getting so so big! I can't believe it. My oldest is about to turn 4 in Nov. How did 4 years go by so fast? All I did was blink, and here we are. I have a video of our summer together. It's posted on my Facebook page. Click here to see it.
I made a decision sometime in July or August to no longer post my other work (family/children) on my Facebook page because I really want to focus on newborns. I still photograph families and children, and I love it! (ask me about getting on my fall schedule for your family's session). But my heart is in New Life Photography: birth, newborn, maternity. Since I started only posting babies on my Facebook page, I have seen a huge increase in my newborn work, and I'm so so happy about it! I adore getting to snuggle fresh new little babies. It's the best job! I'm going to pull out a cliche here, but people say if you love what you do it isn't work. It's so true! I've also started utilizing Facebook's new live video feature. If you want to see first hand what it looks like to have a session with me, go check it out! Thank you to each of every person who chooses me to document this new phase of your life's journey. I count it a blessing to know each little soul that comes in front of my camera.
But enough about me ;) This blog is about sweetbaby Waverly. She was a doll!! Oh my goodness. She was so tiny, and had the prettiest skin. She slept so well, and loved being in froggy pose. Most babies I have really like froggy pose because it's similar to how they are held when they get burped on someone's lap. She was just an angel. And what makes me even happier, is that I get to watch this little lady grow up through her first year! Her and her mama are coming back to see me in 3 months! Yay!
I really love being a newborn photographer in Stillwater, OK. I've gotten to meet some really great parents, and even sweeter babies. Check out some from Waverly's session in the slideshow below. Click the sides of the pictures to switch between the images.
*Oh and please don't forget to leave a comment below on this post. Send some blessings to this awesome family as they adjust to new life with their sweet princess. Or just say a simple hello :D*
Thanks so much ~ Katie Lewis
