Baby Oliver W. - Stillwater Newborn Photographer
Baby Oliver and his mama came to visit me a couple of weeks ago. His mom had won a giveaway I was doing at the end of last year. I was so happy to have them in my studio located in downtown Stillwater. It was a fun day.
Oliver was such a great sleeper. Most babies sleep pretty well for me. I have a great formula that works to get babies into that comfy sleep where they can be posed. But what I mean when I say a "great sleeper" is that little baby O didn't wake up hardly at all! Generally babe's will wake or wiggle when I'm moving them around, so I have to be extra patient as I move them (ever so slightly to keep them asleep). Not this little dude. He didn't wake or wiggle at all. It was perfect. When I get really great sleepers in the studio, I like to try new things with them. This shot has been on my mind for a while now, and I was waiting until just the right moment to try it out. I needed the help of 2 people to get this! Mom was holding up the "hammock" and I had the help of Christie from CJae Studios in Duncan, OK. She was my assitant this day, and she rocked it! I even have some behind the scenes photos that she took of me. I'll share those below.
I also got to test out a new prop that was hand made by my very own daddy! I seem to have accidentally turned my parents into prop makers ha. I have my dad making beds, and my mom is making me outfits (I'll be sharing some of those soon). I came to him with this idea a bit ago, and he seriously knocked it out of the park! It's gorgeous! And baby Oliver looks adorable in it. It's now a highly requested prop (way to go dad!).
Here are some more images from Oliver's newborn session with me. He was such a little rockstar. And his beautiful mama even jumped in for some photos at the end. These parent/baby images are quickly becoming some of my favorite.
If you missed it, I did a live video on my facebook page during the end of Oliver's newborn session.
And finally, here are some behind the scenes shots from this session taken by Christie Jae with CJae Studios. Thank you so much for coming all the way to Stillwater to hang out with me in my studio.
